Twisted fate leads to unfortunate events.

["How is this fair?!", I shouted.]

However, what if said event grants you the power to change your life?

Vaan Ta-Aurfen had never asked for this. One moment he was about to celebrate his hard-earned freedom, and the next, he was cast into the Shadow Pit.

Legend has it, that the corrupted realm of an age long past lies beyond the pit. Here, dreadful creatures roamed with insatiable hunger for souls. The place known as the Shadowrealm.

In the face of terrors, he must fight, forming unexpected relationship with those equal in the face of fate. As he faced countless adversaries, monsters, enemies, and his past, Vaan’s true battle was for the future, and survival is only the beginning.
