Obsidian Authority: Rebirth

​“The world is a flaw and we will correct it.”

​Those are the words an ancient cosmic entity spoke to Siurad. So far, its main concerns are his posture, and the structural failings of trees.

​Siurad is just worried about his Jays.

​Living a normal life as a bouncer from Chicago, his world was turned upside down when he was yanked out of his apartment mid-raid and dropped into a brutal fantasy world, bound to a cosmic entity trapped in a ring of obsidian.

​It calls itself the will that binds the vector between first motion and last stillness.

​Siurad calls it Obi, because it's a ring and that's faster. Obi did not appreciate this.

​Obi has a plan: rebuild the empire that betrayed it, correct every flaw in a chaotic universe, and pave anything that offends it (currently nature). Siurad has a different plan, mostly involving french toast and bacon.

​Only one of them gets a vote, and it isn't the one with the body.

​The trouble is, out here, correcting flaws has consequences, and it comes a lot easier to Siurad than he wants it to.

​Stranded with a kleptomaniac rogue, a terrified priest, and a massive shadow wolf (who is a very good boy), Siurad realizes correcting the world ain't easy, but somebody has to do it.

​And somewhere between the bodies, the bargains, and the voice in his head praising his “improvement,” Siurad has to ask the question every sensible man avoids:

​What if the monster is right?

​The world is a flaw. We will correct it.

​Obi means every word. Siurad is starting to worry that he might, too.
