Synopsis

April Marquiz just wants to stop being basic and to become important. Since dangerous Mythical Animals can grant special abilities to humans, when she encounters a mysterious rainbow-colored creature that looks non-threatening, April assumes she got lucky and found her ticket to becoming special.

But all is not what is seems, and she is about to learn that humans on planet Ghallagas do not know much about anything.

WARNING: I plot to Spotify daily top song.

There is no chapter backlog, nor any pre-determined outline. This live-wire story will either be a brilliant genre-fusion piece or a spectacular trainwreck, and you are invited to watch me either crush it or crash it.

The Rules of my self-imposed challenge:
Step 1. On every Tuesday and Friday morning, I wake up and check the #1 song on the Spotify Global Daily chart.
Step 2. Regardless of my personal feelings about the track, I write the next chapter of this story while listening to that song on a loop, completely pantsing it into a cohesive narrative.
Step 3. Craft my metaphorical author notes.
Step 4. Double check everything, quickly edit the chaos so I don't post an unreadable mess, and hit publish.
Step 5. ???
Step 6. Profit.

Check the charts, maybe try to guess what song will be on top next time. Or not, the decision is entirely up to you. My aim is to end up with a novel that is satisfying to read with or without the music.

Disclaimers:

- Posting hours will vary on writing days, depending on my schedule that day and how fast I am able to plan and write a chapter that somehow still makes sense in my head.

- I am aiming for a sort of progression, but it is slow and hidden.

- Spotify has a two-day lag. The top songs I see and write to on Tuesdays and Fridays will be reflected in the historical charts from two days prior.

- This story is not LitRPG. I would call it more like a colorful, emotional wheel of fortune. If anything, the actual LitRPG here is my own Level 0 published author career.

Stay tuned and happy reading!
