Synopsis

Kane doesn't exist. At least, that's what the Scales say.

In a world where your worth is measured by causality itself, a single test at age six determines everything. A-rank means privilege and power. D-rank means you're worthless. Kane's result is worse than D—the Scales can't see him at all. For twenty years, he's survived in the shadows of Fatum City, forgotten by society, denied by the system, unable even to buy bread without the vendor forgetting who he is.

When a Tribunal enforcer corners him and begins an erasure protocol, Kane should die. Instead, he sees it for the first time: the causal field—a vast web of light connecting every person, every decision, every consequence. He's not on it. He's a blind spot. And a blind spot can touch the threads.

Kane discovers he can manipulate causality itself—altering memories, breaking unjust contracts, unravelling the convictions of those the system has deemed untouchable. Around him gather unlikely allies: Victor, a disgraced scholar expelled for proving the Scales are flawed, and Eira, a Tribunal archivist sent to monitor him who begins to question everything she's been taught. Together, they venture into the forbidden depths beneath the city, unearthing a truth that's been buried for two thousand years.

But every touch comes with a cost. Kane's body is slowly turning transparent, his existence bleeding away. And the ripples of his awakening are spreading—through the city, through the lives of those connected to him, and beyond the walls, where something has sensed the change and is beginning to stir.

THE BLIND SPOT is the story of a man the world tried to forget, who learns to fight back—not with a blade, but by rewriting the rules of reality itself.

For readers who love dark literary fantasy, intricate worldbuilding, and stories that ask what it truly means to exist.
