Synopsis

A girl who hears machines.

Rin has always heard more than other people — wind, rain, footsteps, the small sounds hidden between notes.

But one night, beneath her grandfather's music, she hears a machine humming under their house.

Buried below Breeze Isle is Eli, a man preserved since the day the world shattered into the floating islands of the Sky-Sea. Waking him may be the only way to save Jakr, Rin's reckless little brother, whose strange illness is tied to an ancient bloodline awakening too soon.

But the song that opens the door also sends a signal.

Now they must leave home.
