The Waylaid Waitress

A waitress perfectly happy with her life alongside her boyfriend and two cats is rudely awakened in the middle of the night by a screen informing her that she has died. To make matters worse, she has awakened in a brand-new world as something called a World Walker.

Confused and determined to return to her old life, she starts exploring her surroundings, hoping to find some answers.

What she finds is a very disgruntled (and probably a bit mentally unstable) noble who insists she is going to bring about the downfall of this new world.

His solution?

Get married so he can keep tabs on her and stop her from amassing the power that will destroy everyone and everything.

Well. With no connections and still reeling from having allegedly died only hours before, she resolves to put up a fight every step of the way.

But nothing is simple, and finding a way home may not even be possible…

So she may as well try to make herself comfortable while she works to return to where she should be.
