To make matters worse, this fragile vessel had just been beaten to the brink of death by his tyrannical older brother, Thomas, simply for protecting their sister from being sold off to a decrepit nobleman! Dresmond now faces a grim ultimatum: he has exactly one year before he is banished from the family to rot on the streets.
