Synopsis

Dr. Elliot Vance was supposed to be running routine calibrations on neutrino detectors in a deep-underground research facility beneath Sudbury, Ontario. But when a catastrophic quantum anomaly sweeps across the surface, it doesn't just end the world it rewrites it. The universe effectively "updates its software," altering the laws of physics and the timeline itself. However, shielded by 6,800 feet of dense Canadian Shield rock and localized dampening fields, Vance’s lab becomes a glitch in the new system a surviving pocket of the old reality.

Now completely cut off from the surface, Vance realizes his isolated bubble is experiencing decoherence. The new universe is trying to overwrite him, causing the facility to physically and temporally collapse. Strange anomalies manifest: corridors loop back on themselves, gravity inverts, and the laws of thermodynamics begin to break down.

Armed with nothing but his deep knowledge of quantum metrology, a massive collection of large-scale LEGO sets he uses to mathematically model the shifting anomalies, and analog 90s pop-culture artifacts that stubbornly resist the reality-warp, Vance must find a way to stabilize his pocket dimension. It is a race against a ticking cosmic clock as he works to reverse-engineer the "update," fighting to maintain his sanity and his existence before he is permanently patched out of reality.
