Synopsis

Everything collapsed. Bounties were stolen, rewards were cut, rivals grew bolder. The twins were opposed; she tried her best to hold everything together, while he watched and snacked on rats. Their lives shattered when Lord Mortimer emerged from his shrouded rule to expose their identities: they were living weredragons.

Candy, the protector who failed, had to face heritage and legacy. Dexter, the facetious miscreant, lost the very thing that once defined him. All the while, Lord Mortimer hunted them to the ends of the Staelogicia Empire.

They had to run, but had nowhere to hide.

Joined by Sam, whom Candy clings to more than she admits, they fled their hometown in search of refuge, hoping that someday, they could once again decide who they are beneath their masks. But first, they had to survive a man who scares the dark.
