Synopsis

Line cook. Tuesday night. Parking lot. Then a hillside in another world.

Kellan Hart has two Common shards, no combat skills, and one ability nobody else in Vyloria has — he can feel how shards resonate. Every connection, every conflict, every modification hidden inside a crystal that looks natural but isn't.

Kellan spent eleven years as a line cook at a chain restaurant. Then he finished a Tuesday shift, sat in his car in the parking lot, put it in gear — and the parking lot wasn't there anymore.

He came up face-down in cold grass on a hillside in Vyloria, a world where crystalline shards give people fire, lightning, and the ability to punch through walls.

He can't do any of that. Not well, anyway.

What Kellan can do is something nobody else can: he can feel how shards interact. Every resonance, every conflict, every hidden connection between the crystals that power this world — he senses it all, instinctively, the way a cook reads a kitchen without thinking.

The guilds call his ability Resonance Sense. They also call it invaluable, dangerous, and worth killing for.

Because someone is draining the wells that produce shards. Someone is engineering modifications that shouldn't exist. Someone is building toward a configuration that requires all ten shard types — and they need a person who can feel how those types connect.

They need a calibrator.

They need him.

Shards of Vyloria is a progression fantasy where the protagonist's greatest weapon isn't combat power — it's perception. A LitRPG with a shard-based magic system, resonance mechanics, team dynamics, and a conspiracy that gets bigger every time Kellan learns enough to see the next piece.

Updates twice weekly. Thinking Tue. Thurs. 8am est. unless readers are suggesting other times instead.
