Synopsis

When the suit of armor wakes up with nobody inside it, and no memory of who it was, its first thoughts are on the mage in front of it. With no mission or purpose, it should not exist. Thalas, the Star-eating mage, is tasked with figuring out why, why it seems to be alive, how it manifested in a magical dead zone. And why it seems to take the form of his late lover's cherished suit of armor.
