Children of Fate

Satoru is one of the so-called “Children of Fate”—a rare group of teenagers whose bodies have developed supernatural abilities through a mysterious genetic mutation.

Cut off from the outside world, they live inside a heavily monitored research institute, where their powers are trained, analyzed, and—supposedly—prepared for the future protection of humanity.

For Satoru, this life has long since become normal. Between training sessions, classes, and ranked battles, he grows up alongside his classmates—forming friendships, building rivalries, and calling the people around him his family.

But beneath the institute’s orderly facade, cracks are beginning to show. Contradictions pile up. Answers remain out of reach. And the closer Satoru looks, the more certain he becomes: something isn’t right.

Why are they really being kept here?  
Who does their strength truly serve—and at what cost?

As doubt begins to take hold, Satoru is forced to question everything he once accepted without hesitation—the institute, his classmates, and ultimately, himself.

Friendships begin to fracture.  
Loyalties are put to the test.

And the truth he seeks may be more dangerous than any power they possess.

This is a slow-burn story with a strong focus on character development, relationships, and world-building, while still featuring action throughout.

As the story progresses, the tone becomes heavier, and the stakes continue to rise.
