Catalyst Mage

In the Empire of Afelstead war is a constant. Enemies neighbor the nation on two sides, threatening destruction constantly, be it from mechanical superiority of the Dattan Republic, or the enchanted warriors from the Jahkish Union. The only advantage the empire can boast is its core military asset, true mages. Mages are those rare few with blood connections to the mystic creatures of the world. Using this connection they can call upon the forces and elements of the world around them to reap destruction on their enemies. 

Among the mages, none are stronger than the catalysts, capable of harnessing the power  of mighty beasts from legend and using that power to boost their fellow mages to ridiculous heights. A catalyst and a family of proper mages can bring down the wrath of a sky spanning dragon onto an army in an instant. With exclusive access to such power, Afelsted has maintained its dynasty through decades of war and strife, breeding prosperity from what would otherwise be certain defeat. 

Now, during a small lull in the fighting, a new catalyst has been awakened to their power. It is time that they be trained and brought into the empire's ranks. He must be trained in the ways of magic and fully unlock his power and the power of his growing mage family to maintain the safety of his home and the people he loves. Join our petite hero in a journey filed with learning, academy shenanigans  and romance as he learns what it takes to be a great Catalyst Mage!
