The Succession Syntax
Synopsis
Humanity has twelve days before the ocean reaches the cities.
Seventy million amphibious creatures are mutating beneath the sea.
Coastal defenses are collapsing. Fleets are running out of ammunition. Governments are bleeding money faster than they can evacuate civilians. Political factions are already preparing to profit from the disaster.
And beneath the waves, something far worse than a monster begins to move.
The Vacuum Leviathan.
Edith Cain was born into a bloodline where power is not magic, but science written into human flesh.
Her siblings command voltage, fluid dynamics, and resonance.
Edith is the Compiler.
She processes systems, calculates failure points, optimizes impossible variables, and turns collapse into executable survival plans.
But an extinction crisis cannot be solved by one genius alone.
To save millions, Edith must coordinate her siblings, military forces, evacuation routes, supply chains, political factions, failing infrastructure, and powers that obey scientific limits instead of miracles.
Every ability has a cost.
Every solution creates another failure point.
Every delay gives the ocean another advantage.
She does not need a sword.
She does not need a prophecy.
She needs algorithms, leverage, military logistics, and enough authority to force an entire continent to obey the logic of survival.
If the world is broken code, she is the patch.
The Succession Syntax is a dark science-system progression fantasy about ocean monsters, military survival, science-based powers, sibling strategy, and solving extinction one impossible system at a time.
Standalone entry point. You can start here.
The story is set in a larger science-fantasy universe, but Edith’s crisis begins here and requires no previous reading.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Science-System Progression Fantasy
Not stat-heavy LitRPG. Progression comes through scientific mastery, processing capacity, tactical authority, political leverage, military coordination, and solving increasingly impossible systems.
Ocean-Monster Apocalypse
Humanity faces intelligent amphibious creatures, coastal collapse, mutation, resource pressure, and Leviathan-scale threats rising from the sea.
Science-Based Powers with Hard Costs
Voltage, fluid dynamics, resonance, computation, and other abilities follow constraints, failure points, tradeoffs, and exploitable rules. Power is not a miracle. It is a system.
Military Survival and State Logistics
Evacuation routes, ammunition limits, budgets, supply chains, morale, command structures, infrastructure, and political pressure all matter.
Sibling Strategy Under Pressure
The Cain siblings are brilliant, dangerous, loyal, flawed, and constantly forced to calculate the cost of saving civilization.
Escalating Extinction
What begins as a biological anomaly becomes a continent-wide survival crisis involving mutation, resource collapse, political fracture, and monsters large enough to change the meaning of war.
