Synopsis

After rebelling against Destiny, a God will put Erik through endless trials. There is no escape, nor any possibility of refutation. With every failure, he will lose your loved ones, one by one.

A strange purple mist has descended upon Earth, bringing with it, the New Gods. These beings will test humanity to find new Scions; new God’s Heralds like Erik. They hope to mold him to their liking, turning him into a puppet. What they didn’t count on is that he won’t let his family die, no matter how hard they try to break his will. Not even if he has only a thread of life left and must fight against the seed of his own darkness.

Follow Erik on his journey through Destiny, and witness his journey to becoming a champion who will leave no other god indifferent. A Scion of the Aether who will change everything.

English isn’t my native language. Please, go easy on me. Any constructive feedback is more than welcome.

What to expect:
◦ Certain elements reminiscent of a table top RPG.
◦ Initial Campaign: Medieval Fantasy/Low Dark Fantasy.
◦ Two types of narrator:
» First person: Both Erik (MC) and Irum, and future characters.
» Irum will take on the role of an occasional narrator, reminiscent of a Dungeon Master.
◦ The character's class depends on the magic learned. One Class per Campaign.
◦ Atribute and knowledge improvement system.
◦ The risk-reward ratio is determined by rolling dice.
◦ MC without magic at the start, only wits and self-defense.
◦ The first seven chapters aren't exactly an introduction, but they're not far off either.
◦ Chapters of around 3,000 words.

What not to expect:
◦ For the MC be some kind of chosen one. (His inexplicable initial improvement is part of the plot.)
◦ Harem.

The Graphic Violence and Sensitive Content labels are there just to be safe. I don’t think I’ve written anything too graphic, though it’s not exactly “The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh” either.
