Synopsis

The Immortal Variable: Fang Li

“In my previous world… aging was a disease, and death was a failure yet to be overcome.”

Fang Li, an eighty-year-old scientist obsessed with unraveling the mysteries of lifespan, met his end in his final, failed experiment.

Yet when he opened his eyes once more, he found himself in the Tianfan Realm— a world not driven by technology, but by Qi and laws he could not yet comprehend.

In this cold and unforgiving world, fate is predetermined at birth by what is known as Spiritual Roots. Those born without them are branded as the “Blocked”— insignificant as ants, reduced to slaves, or used as expendable shields in wars they will never understand.

Amidst burning villages and the screams of the oppressed, Fang Li realized a single truth: “Here… power is the right to use knowledge.”

Armed with the intellect of a civilization that viewed Qi as a form of energy field— and death as nothing more than a cellular defect— Fang Li will become a hidden piece on the board.

An Unknown Variable. A force that will rewrite the laws of this world.

He does not seek to be a hero. Nor does he desire to become a demon lord. His only goal— To live forever.

This is the beginning of his second journey… A path to immortality he will forge with his own hands— Even if it means deceiving the entire world.
