Synopsis

Rose Yakuza follows a mentally ill man named Yawhme as he traverses his way through revenge, love, the yakuza, and the darker things in life. The story contains self-harm, suicide, SA, and worse. The story is about healing and coping. I would actually recommend it if you're struggling. Each book is different, so here’s a run-down.

Book 1:

The most light-hearted with dark undertones. Yawhme is fresh in the Rose Yakuza as a punishment for brutally beating three of their clan members. While struggling with violent urges, the Rose Yakuza contend with the Black Lilies, Nightshade, and Orchid Factions. Expect subplots, subtext, and a lot of psychological horror (as with all three books).

Book 2:

This is where most of the fights are, violent, brutal, and messy. All charged by the mind rather than the body. Yawhme here is more violent than ever, more sick, and finds that he wants revenge against the man that took everyone away from him. Expect self-harm and a chillingly realistic depiction of PTSD.

Book 2.5:

This one may be the most disturbing of the bunch. Not due to violence or even mental illness but rather the complete loss of life with Yawhme. Read as he slowly regains his life by making traumatizing sacrifices. Filled with wrong decisions that all lead to the light.

Book 3:

The final book. The new White Rose, happiness, old enemies, and what healing and being healed actually look like (the media is VERY wrong). Friends, slice of life, but it all leads to heroic sacrifices, freedom, family, and power.

There is goodness in every book; there will always be laughter even in the darkest of rooms.

Oh and writing gets better with each book. That's on me :)
