Built to Endure or For Fall
Synopsis
Mee-Toh was never taught how to break-only how to last.
In the wake of Zoe's death, the world keeps moving, indifferent and demanding. Old faces return. Old choices resurface. Every consequence arrives quietly, as if it assumes he can carry it. And he does. He always has.
This is a story told from the inside of endurance: the pauses he never fills, the words he swallows before they become dangerous, the anger he turns inward because letting it out would cost too much. While others fracture outward-loudly, violently-Mee-Toh learns how to remain intact long enough to question whether that was ever the goal.
He is not a hero here. He is not a martyr.
He is what remains when survival outlives its purpose-
a boy shaped to endure, standing at the edge of a fall no one else seems to notice.
Someone once said the real tragedy is not when suffering ends without reward,
but when the end offers no redemption at all-
only silence, and the quiet realization that endurance was never meant to be enough.
