Kobold Wizard
Synopsis
Tars was in a foul mood. He had noticed that he was shedding quite a bit lately. But that didn't matter. He was going to become a powerful wizard and cover himself in scales, just like those irritating and terrifying Land-Drillers.
In his spare time, he often dreamed—dreaming that he was no longer an ugly kobold, but had transformed back into that clean, refreshed human. He also frequently imagined slender, twisted horns—the kind belonging to high-ranking demons—sprouting from his balding forehead.
However, that was no easier than growing scales. Legend has it that mighty dragons and powerful demons possess a natural human form once they reach adulthood. Yes, a massive, indirect detour just to become human again and say goodbye to this stinking kobold shell that did nothing but shed fur.
At least, in the beginning, that was exactly what he thought.
