The Earth-ward Journey of a Foxy Alien [Hard Sci-fi]
Synopsis
Crashing on an alien planet isn't that bad.
The air is breathable, the gravity is in the normal range, the microbes don't seem to be lethal, and the local intelligent life appears friendly enough for now. Survival in the short term isn't a problem. There's just one small issue: these four-legged creatures, known as "foxes"… don't they look a bit too much like me?!
In any case, panicking won't help. Learn their language, understand their social system, and get involved in their scientific endeavours. Perhaps one day, with my help, they'll develop faster-than-light technology and take me home?
Provided everything goes according to plan, of course…
