The Eye of the Unborn Serpent [Wuxia Action/Adventure Fantasy]

Everything is Connected.

Flowing Silk Ribbon has been travelling the Empire for two years in search of the missing Imperial Princess. In the process he has found no solid answers, but a lot of bad omens. Pirates and smugglers along the coast, Huns on this side of the Wall, and the Great Roads starting to crumble.

His plan had been to find the Princess, make friends with her, and gain enough imperial favour that his secret boyfriend's family would acknowledge him (or at least be less likely to try and 'remove the distraction').

Instead he meets Shenmi Xiong, a blacksmith his age desperately trying to live up to the heroic deeds of his family, and Sheng, an old soldier who very conspicuously doesn't talk about his own. They have been sent on their own quest by a displaced God, but a stray hint from a minor spirit implies that the key to both their quests lies in finding the lost Eye of the Unborn Serpent.

Everything is suddenly lining up far too neatly for there not to be bigger things at stake. Luckily, there is something that the mortals who get caught in interesting times can always rely on.

That if everything is connected, then so is everyone.
