One moment, the world was still pretending to be ordinary. The next, impossible messages appeared across the sky, animals began to fall from the rain, and people learned that the old rules had stopped protecting them.

At first, humanity thought it was witnessing the end.

It was wrong.

An end would have been simpler.

Kael was only a student when the first cycle began. He had no weapon, no class, no plan, and nothing that should have made him survive the first hours of the collapse.

But he did.

Not cleanly.
Not safely.
Not without consequence.

Now, with a handful of survivors and a body that refuses to forget what happened to it, Kael must move through a world where every answer comes too late, every reward leaves a mark, and death is no longer the only thing to fear.

Some people will adapt.

Some will break.

Some will become something else entirely.

The first cycle has begun.

And survival was never meant to leave anyone untouched.
