The world's divided by the Veil: on one side, the mundane; on the other, magic.

This was the reality that only those blessed with magic understood and the one that those without it could not even perceive.

Kurt Celik, member of the Order of Myra, and discoverer and sole practitioner of the esoteric art of Pneuma, was one of the few exceptions to this rule. Born sickly of body and soul, he had worked to prove to everyone around him that he had not been born a Veiled for a reason.

He trained his body until he developed control over his very lifeforce, practiced his swordsmanship until his palms bled, and participated in every quest given to the order, no matter how dangerous, all in the name of reaching the title of the strongest as someone without a unique magical talent.

So, when those red screens began appearing before him the morning of his 15th birthday, he was forced to… reconsider that dream a bit.

Now equipped with strange abilities unseen even in a world of magic, Kurt will be forced to test just how big his drive for strength really is, as well as face the reasons for it.

An urban fantasy series about a young warrior with RPG-like abilities as his unique talent!

What to expect:

-          A story of magic and action set in a contemporary setting, inspired by The Dresden Files and the The Gamer webtoon.

-          A complex magic system that doesn't necessarily exist in anyone's favor (not even the MC's)

-          Thrilling fights that factor into the plot and occur for a reason.

-           Sympathetic and evolving characters whose relationships are given a good amount of focus. (Gotta put a personality to that stat sheet, after all.)

-            Numbers won't go brrr, at least not to the point of meaninglessness. Progression will be tied more to training and skills, with kill-to-get levels being gained more sparingly than usual for this genre.

-          A cast of secondary characters with powers and talents unique to them and ways of growing stronger, different but not lesser than the protagonist's own.

-           Romance won't be the book's focus, but it won't be categorically shunned either. Whatever romance arcs I write will be a natural part of the plot and will never  come at the story's expense or for their own sake.
