Echoes of the Storm
Synopsis
Eric McGabe isn’t a hero. He’s barely functional.
A dead-end town, a couch covered in beer cans, and a past he refuses to remember — that’s his entire world.
Then a silent bolt of lightning splits the sky, knights in otherworldly armor step through a fracture in reality, and an elf with impossible magic calls him a traitor, a deserter… and her former commander.
Now Earth is crawling with invaders from a world Eric once fought in, died in, and somehow escaped. His forgotten power is waking up, his old allies and enemies are crossing over, and the people closest to him are getting dragged in whether he likes it or not.
Alongside:
Mike, a veteran with a shovel and zero self-preservation
Michelle, a lieutenant trying to keep her sanity
Inaria, a blue-skinned Veyrathi warrior with a grudge
Celeste, the wind-mage who wants answers almost as badly as she wants to hit him
Eric has to rediscover who — and what — he really is.
Because the gates aren’t stopping.
And Earth was never supposed to survive what’s coming through them.
Winds of Change is a grounded, character-driven fantasy about broken people facing impossible worlds. Expect emotional hits, cinematic fights, slow-burning mystery, and a storm that only gets bigger.
