Unlucky Druid Jack
Synopsis
Jack is an average, witty, 30-something dude who can't decide if he is the luckiest man on Earth or the most unlucky.
While most heroes get a truck or a goddess, Jack got zapped mid-piss, two years before Earth was even scheduled to get magic. Now, he's an accidental inductee in a "solo tutorial" that no one was ready for.
He's a little unlucky, and his unique traits combine to turn him into a perpetual motion machine for mana. In a world where mana is money and money is power, that is an equally exciting and terrifying proposition.
Nothing comes without a price and the downside for Jack is he is probably going to explode or get abducted before he gets the chance to come to grips with his unique situation.
He's in a desperate race to learn to control his body before he literally goes 'boom'. Once he has that under control he just has to find a way to become powerful enough that no one can snatch up their very own money printer.
Relying on the only help he is offered he puts his faith in his overpowered mentor Monty to guide him in this new universe. Jack is happy to play the mana battery for a superpowered protector if it will lead him to a future where he can live his hermit dreams.
