Ideworld Chronicles: The Art Mage
Synopsis
Orphaned, abused, and trained through sweat, tears, and blood to become the ultimate thief, Alexa was far from an ordinary woman in her early twenties. She could pick pockets with effortless precision, sprint across rooftops without fear, and change her appearance and personality in seconds to fit whatever role the situation demanded.
She survived and thrived, because of three things: the thrill of the heist, the found family she built around herself, and above all, her passion for truth expressed through art.
So when her reality is shattered and a seemingly immortal man capable of unraveling matter itself begins hunting her, it is that same passion that grants her a second chance, awakening her dominion over Artistic Creation.
With newfound magic at her fingertips and an entire hidden world lurking just beyond the veil—a twisted reflection of our own—Alexa must adapt quickly if she wants to survive.
But to Alexa, it is simply another challenge.
And she has always loved those.
Ideworld Chronicles: The Art Mage has:
Non-LitRPG progression from daredevil thief to reality-bending archmage
Deep, original magic systems
Art-based crafting
A parallel world shaped by dreams, ambition, collective consciousness and history
A main, flawed antihero character who starts scrappy and ends terrifying (and a bit more good than evil)
Spoilers about Alexa's romantic life:
Romance is a difficult subject to describe. Alexa stumbles into a relationship, but due to her mental state, she has a hard time giving herself to it fully. It's never the main plot of the story—or even a side plot—but rather something that develops quietly in the background.
Spoilers about part of the progression:
Over the course of the story, Alexa learns to become more than one person by splitting her consciousness across multiple bodies and allowing the Personas she’s developed over the years to exist semi-independently.
