Humans say, life is not always fair.

Humanity clearly has not yet understood the nature of the universe.

With only 15 years Marcus chooses to become a class holder, a power given by strange alien monoliths, which have come to Earth without explanation. But this is not a game, this is real and nothing comes without a cost and nothing can be gained without effort.

The world is changing, portals are opening and humanity tries to adapt to a universe that is very different from what we imagined. Between monsters, super powered criminals and alien races Marcus has his hands full, but then there are also girls. Because life is not complicated enough yet.

This is a story for adults and those who are on the way to become adults. It is about all parts of life; friendship, love, pain, loss, trauma, hard work, adventure, happiness, sadness and much more.

TOB is a slow moving story, do not expect Marcus to dominate gods after 15 chapters. The path to the top is long and can not be walked alone.
